Mayor’s New Assistant Moving Over From NHA

Prince George, B.C. – The new Executive Assistant to Prince George Mayor Shari Green is currently employed by the Northern Health Authority. But trying to get information about her is like trying to get into a B.C. hospital for surgery.
Beverly Smith has been hired by the city to become executive assistant to Mayor Green on April 1st. NH Communications Officer Jonathon Dyck says Ms. Smith’s title is Administrative Assistant to Northern Health CEO Cathy Ulrich and to the NH Board. However Dyck says he is not at liberty to tell Opinion 250 whether Smith has handed in her notice or whether she would be entitled to any payout from Northern Health. Dyck says he can’t answer those questions due to personnel confidentiality reasons.
It is known that Ms. Smith was at work today at the Northern Health Authority.

I thought the N.H. communications guru was Eryn Collins ?
WHO CARES!!!!!
This is definitely unethical reporting.
Need to have more specifics and very sharply honed fingers to point.
I was just wondering who Jonathan Dyck is, is all. Can’t recall reading his name before. Guess we don’t have a flu epidemic this year.
Steve Raper is the Director of Communications. I would assume that there are quite a number of people working in the Communications Department. Northern Health is a large organization over a vast territory with many facilities and many responsibilities.
I know,I know….we don’t get to pick our surname’s.
Shari can pick whomever she wants.
As long as their name is Smith.
Why would anyone leave that job for this job ?
Something Fishy going on here.
Top 10 reasons people quit based on Human Ressources surveys.

And another opinion.

If see gets a severance package at Northern Health, then that would be questions for the public to ask. If she was enticed to quit by Mayor Green then that adds to the questions about the merits of the mayors logic. Both are high profile public executive positions and so within the domain of public discussion IMO.
If Beverly Smith goes to be the Executive Assistant for Mayor Green on April 1st, will Smith command the same lucrative salary she received from Northern Health?
What happened to Green’s austerity measures when she promised to dock 10% off workers’ salaries in each City Department?
