No Medals For T’Wolves At Basketball Nationals

Prince George, B.C. – The UNBC Men’s and Women’s Timberwolves came up empty-handed at their respective CCAA national basketball championships this weekend.
Both teams were attempting to get into the bronze medal games when they hit the court this morning, but both came up short. In Truro, Nova Scotia number one seeded UNBC fell 74-62 to St. Thomas. The Timberwovles finished with a victory and two losses. The bronze medal game tonight has St. Thomas facing Red Deer while #4Mohawk meets #2 Mt. Royal for the championship.
At the Women’s nationals in Lethbridge, the UNBC ladies dropped a 73-57 decision to MacEwan to finish at 1 and 2 as well. MacEwan meets St. Thomas for bronze, Ste. Foy and Dawson square off in the gold medal game tonight.
