Municipal Election Disclosure Deadline Is Today

Prince George, B.C. – The deadline for candidates in November’s municipal election to file their Campaign Financing Disclosure Statements at City Hall is today.

 

17 of the 24 people who ran in the Mayoralty and Councilor elections in Prince George had submitted details of their election contributions and expenditures as of the end of the business day Friday. 
 
The remaining seven include Myrt Turner, Lyn Hall, Brad Gagnon, Jordan Gadsby, Dan Rogers, Bruce Fader and John Beebe.

 

Candidates have until 5pm today to file their disclosure statements.

And what happens if they don’t file? Do they have to stand in the corner for the day?

By the book and I believe they actually enforce this one it’s a $500 penalty if it’s filed past today.

It look’s like Dan and Mr Fader are the only ones yet to file.

Interesting when I look at the submitted details of the election contributions. And to think that some of the contributors are the same ones that own a certain property that the councillors voted for in a rezoning issue. And these new councillors do not think it looks like a conflict of interest. At least Green was smart enough to back out of what looked like a conflict of interest…….
