Prince George, B.C. – As  Cody Legebokoff awaits the start of his trial for the murder of four  young women from the Prince George region,  the family of one of the deceased is pleading for tips to  give their family closure.

Although charged with the murder of Natasha Lynn Montgomery,  her remains have not been found.  She was last seen  in August in  2010. 

Earlier today, the family of Natasha Montgomery and the Sekanni Carrier Nation completed a ceremony at a residence where police believe Natasha was murdered. ( photo at right of family in apartment, courtesy RCMP)

The ceremony was done in an effort to allow the Montgomery family to begin healing during this difficult time.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in bringing Natasha home to her family.  

"While Cody Legebokoff has been charged and will be tried for the death of Natasha, we still need to know where she is in order to give her family the dignity of a proper burial", says Cst. Lesley Smith, North District RCMP Media Relations Officer.  "She was a beautiful, loving and caring person. Her family wants to bring her home. Anyone who may know where Natasha is needs to contact police."

Natasha’s family has issued a plea for information, saying  the loss of Natasha has  had a devastasting impact on their  family "It is hard enough to accept the fact she is gone, let alone not having the ability to lay her to rest" reads the special statement from the family.
