Bjornson Family Seeks Closure
Ft. St. James, B.C.- For the second time in as many days, a grieving family is calling for help in bringing closure to their pain.
Earlier this week, the family of Natasha Lyn Montgomery, who disappeared in late summer of 2010, called for information that would lead to her remains.
This morning, the call comes from the family of Fribjon Bjornson. The 28 year old Vanderhoof man was reported missing January 21st of this year. Two days later his blue Chev pick up was located near Fort St.James and on the 3rd of February, human remains were located in a vacant property on the Nak’azdli reserve. The remains were those of Fribjon Bjornson, and police now confirm, that while remains belonging to Mr. Bjornson were located, his body is still missing.
Investigators are aware Bjornson battled with drug use, and associated with individuals who lived a high risk lifestyle and were also caught in a world of addiction.
Police say they know there are witnesses who can help but are afraid to come forward. The public may not be aware but there are many ways to share information and still remain anonymous.
Statement from Eileen Bjornson
"Fribjon was our son. He was a father to two beautiful children and best friend to his sister, Amanda. He was kind, helpful and generous. Our family is stunned and devastated by his death. How could somebody do something so horrible to him, or anyone? Every time we thought it couldn’t get any worse, it has. What are we going to tell his children? How will we explain to them what happened to their daddy, when we don’t understand it ourselves. We need to be able to put our son to rest and give him a proper burial. Our family needs some closure and finding Fribjon’s body is the first step. We are pleading to anyone who knows anything to come forward and tell us what they know, no matter how insignificant it may seem. We have had a memorial service for him and have smudged the house where we found evidence of his death but we are still missing Fribjon. We would like to be able to spread his ashes and have a closed family service but we can’t do this until we recover his body. We will always be looking for him, until he comes home to us. Please help us look. We are asking people to keep their eyes open for anything suspicious; birds, clothing, something in the lake, etc. Fribjon was a good person, he did not deserve this. Please help us."
Police are still actively investigating this crime and would like to not only bring Fribjon home to his family, they would like to clear up any rumors that are circulating that may be harming this investigation.
The more people made aware of the truth, the wider the possibility of locating him.

What a horrible world we live in!
My gosh, I thought that his body had been found in that house. How difficult this must be for the family. May they find peace and solace that their son no longer suffers. Godspeed Fribjon.
