I wish we could elect judges for shorter terms than life. Maybe there would no longer be situations like the one described here. For sure it sure is sad that criminals get more consideration than the victim.

Not funny, but sadly true, in many cases. It seems that our legal system protects the accused a little too well, sometimes. Lawyers able to successfully create doubt in the minds of the jurors or judiciary. Recent case in point; Graham James. A minimal sentence for permanently scarring the minds of two young men. Less recent; Karla Homolka. Convicted of helping her husband with some heinous crimes. How come she is free and walking around? metalman.
