Kids take part in a life size game of snakes and ladders at the Library’s Bob Harkins branch

Prince George, BC – There were no shortage of activities to keep kids entertained during this week’s break from school…

The library capped the week with two hours of pure fun that attracted quite a crowd to the Bob Harkins branch.  In addition, to the life size gameboard, kids could let their imaginations run wild while tinkering away at tables full of Lego.

And the frog launcher returned from its first appearance at the Family Literacy Day celebration. No

Nerf tag was definitely a highlight of the afternoon in the Keith Gordon room, with make-shift dividers adding intrigue to the daring dart fun.

The kids were lining up over and over again for their chance to participate ‘one more time’.

Over at the Family Y, Communications Director Karen Cameron says ‘Beach Day’ capped off this week’s spring break programming.

She says the theme for the week was ‘Undersea Adventures’ and children spent the week learning about fish and other critters in our seas and oceans.  Cameron says a full capacity of 46 kids took part in yesterday’s events.

Meantime, staff in the Y’s Rec Room say the week was a busy one for families just dropping by, as well.

On Wednesday morning alone, there were more than 50 kids vying for their turn to climb the rock wall, play ping pong, or just make their way through the jungle gym.
