RCMP Youth Academy Troop 10 inspected by Attorney-General Shirley Bond, RCMP Inspector Keith Redl, and Staff-Sergeant Major Doug Pack

Prince George, BC – BC’s Justice Minister said she could not think of a more fitting way to see some of this year’s record-setting proceeds of crime disbursed under the civil forfeiture program…

Speaking at this weekend’s graduation ceremony for 28 ‘cadets’ who participated in the RCMP’s 2012 Youth Academy, Bond announced $5,100 will go towards ensuring the Youth Academy will continue in Prince George. 

Bond said she received the funding request from Special Constable Davy Greenlees a few weeks ago to assist with equipment costs and other expenses involved in hosting the week-long camp that gives high school students from across the region a chance to explore a career with the RCMP.

The local MLA also recognized Greenlees and Auxiliary Constable Dave Phillips for the significant effort they put into organizing the youth academy every year.  This year marked the 10th local academy.
