Photo of Shawn Halikowski standing, dressed in a suit.Prince George, B.C.-  It has now been five years since the body of 44 year old Shawn Halikowski was found near Hofferkamp Road, just off Highway 97 in Prince George.  Police are looking for  more information on his death.

He had been last seen alive  on March 11th of 2007.

Mr. Halikowski spent time with several people on March 11th and investigators believe that one of these people may have information about his death.

Although the final chapter in Shawn Halikowski’s life may have been tragic, his family would like the public to know that he was a well loved and determined man.

After putting himself through university and obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree, Shawn married and had a daughter. Before returning to Prince George in 2004, he completed his Master’s Degree and had been working for the City of Surrey.

Prince George RCMP do not believe that Shawn Halikowski passed away where he was found near Hofferkamp Road, but that his body was taken there after he died.

The RCMP and the Halikowski family encourage anybody with information about the death of Shawn, to  contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-TIPS (8477), online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca, or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES using keyword "pgtips".
