Prince George, BC – It was a milliner’s delight at the Hart Pioneer Centre earlier this week, as several dozen gathered for the Easter Bonnet tea and parade…

But, unlike the smaller fascinators made popular of late by the Duchess of Cambridge, these wonderful handmade creations were all-out hats.

Dorother Mosser went a step further, accessorizing her Easter bonnet with ‘jewellery’.

Her hand-strung necklace and earrings would prove tempting for any-bunny coming her way.

Her sign reads, "What did Bugs Bunny give his wife for Easter?  14 Carrots necklace and 2 carrot earrings."

The ‘Craft Ladies’ at the centre made many of the decorations that brought spring inside for the afternoon tea.

Mickey Horning points out that the centre runs a craft corner from 9am until 3pm weekdays and the woman have a wonderful time knitting, crocheting, and "doing a little bit of everything".

Elizabeth Warren says they’ve just started doing bead work and an instructor has been offering lessons on Wednesdays.

Members of the public are welcome to stop by to join in on the craft activities.  The group also accepts donations of any unwanted craft supplies.
