Show Me Your Gun, Boy

Saturday, April 14, 2012 @ 4:18 AM
Prince George, B.C. – Prince George RCMP were quick to respond to a report of a youth armed with a weapon last evening.

At 6:40pm officers were dispatched to Ron Brent Elementary School on 17th Avenue to check a report that a 14-year-old male was seen with a gun on the school property. The youth was described as Caucasian, 5-foot-6, slim build, wearing a green hoodie and black pants.

There was nobody at the front of the school but a female officer checking around back spotted the youth in a field and pinned him. The weapon turned out to be a pellet gun.

Pinned him?

Pinned him, old school policing where the officier tackle’s you to the ground and pinns you down. Much more humane approach then the taser and handcuffs. Not to say that the taser and handcuffs don’t have a place in policing, just not with youths on the school playground.
Sounds like the officer did a great job!

“Show me your gun, boy”. I sure hope the policeman determined the fellow was Caucasian first when he said that, or he would be in a heap of trouble now if the kid wasn’t. Know what I’m sayin’?

Good point Harb – what if the kid said “feets don’t fail me now!”
What a PC world we live in…

interceptor. What the hell , eh? It makes me laugh. And looking at the world now, I need those laughs.

Now what if the gun had been more of a real one? Would the officer’s actions have been looked at in the same light if a shot had been fired by the suspect?

Some kid out at night with even a pellet gun, in the town in this day and age and especially in that area, uuhh, that makes me wonder where and what his parents were up to. Wonder if they’re going to have to take a parenting course?

Sure would be nice to see the curfew back and the ‘paddle’ too. many people can attest to the good they did.

Maybe if the kid did get shot, the coroner would rule it “death by reason of stupidity.” (on the kid’s part) If the coroners office is allowed to say that. Instead it would be ruled “death by misadventure”. Now that sounds better. Right?

Give More, you comment “especially in that area” just who do you think lives in “that area”??I have lived in that area for thirty eight years. Our area would not be in this shape if the City would stop dumping all of its problems in it. What other area of town has hookers strolling and a Needle Van driving around ?? What other City has this going on?? What other area of town has homeless type shelters built in it. Some people in this City are pushing for a safe injection site. I can tell you WE DO NOT WANT IT IN OUR AREA . What kind of Children are they going to grow up to be with this all going on around them. Good people live in this area of town and to paint us all with the same brush is just plain mean. In Sat. Citizen there is a Letter with the heading ,Will we be buying the heroin soon?? We could also write a letter about the Needle Van ,will we be delivering heroin soon??
