House Fire Causes Minor Damage

Prince George, B.C. – A supper hour fire   brought out firefighters from three halls this evening.
 
Just after 5:00 , Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in the 200 block of Gordon Crescent.
 
Sixteen firefighters from three halls responded to a report of flames coming from the back of a house.
On arrival they found the lone occupant waiting outside.
 
Firefighters found a small fire burning in the wall, by a back sundeck. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire, limiting the damage.
 
Crews remained on scene for about an hour, checking for hot spots and ventilating the building.
 
The cause of the fire is undetermined, but fire investigators do not consider it suspicious in nature.
 
Damage is estimated at about $3000.
 
There are no reported injuries.
