‘It’s a Spring Thing’ May Be Back This Fall
Jeannine Prive, Pam Marutt, and Jen Viscount organized, ‘It’s A Spring Thing’ home business fair
Prince George, BC – Based on the number of shoppers browsing the vendor tables, it appears the ‘It’s a Spring Thing’ home business fair will be back by popular demand in the fall…
The day-long fair at the Hart Pioneer Centre featured 36 local home-based business operators. It was organized by three women – Jeannine Prive, Pam Marutt, and Jen Viscount – friends, who each run a home business.
Viscount says, "We felt people could afford to do this both time-wise and financially."
She says many home business operators also have outside jobs, which makes participating in three- and four-day events impossible.
The vendors’ $35 got them a table and some advertising in the run-up to yesterday’s fair. Viscount adds many took to their social media networks to advertise, as well. She says the stream of traffic through was steady, with some spikes, so she feels everyone was happy with the turn-out.
The women’s first event last fall attracted a total of 26 vendors.
