As soon as they flea the scene of a horrific incident such as this, should be a mandatory minimum for murder. It’s no longer an accident in my eyes when you try to run.
Condolences to the family.
I agree Captain – anyone that runs does it because they are putting thier risk of an impaired above the life of the victim. I dont buy into the “I was in shock” BS that people spew. Sober people stop at an accident, drunk people run. So you only go into shock if you are drunk?
I agree, it is murder. Perhaps they flee because they are impaired, and unable to make reasonable decisions?
This is an awful story. My condolences to the family.
The scum should be put so far into the digger that you would have to pump sunlight to him.
Murder it may not be, for it was not likely premeditated or intentional, more like manslaughter I would think.
Still, leaving the scene of an accident you caused, especially where someone has been injured, does not speak well for this person’s character. The only decent thing to do is to stop and try to render assistance to the persons you hurt.
Like the cop in the lower mainland who hit the motorcycle rider then drove away, maybe he could have saved that man’s life if he had tried to help, these incidents are disgusting. It saddens me to hear of people doing things like this, how little concern they must have for others.
