Prince George, BC – Prince George Mayor Shari Green has issued a statement regarding the explosion and fire that hit Lakeland Mills last night. In an emailed statement, Mayor Green says: 

"The explosion and fire is devastating and our sole focus is for the well-being of everyone affected. This is a difficult time and emergency and health responders are doing everything they can. Please pray for those injured and for the difficult road ahead for them, their families and our whole community", said City of Prince George Mayor Shari Green. 

Mayor Green says council’s thoughts and prayers are with the workers and families affected by the tragic event. Council members have offered support at University Hospital to the families of those injured.
