Our City’s Prayers To Those From Lakeland Mills

Tuesday, April 24, 2012 @ 7:39 AM
At this point it can only be described as a miracle. 40 workers, two others on hand, it could have been a major disaster. Whoever it was, smiled down on Prince George last night in the explosion and fire that rocked Lakeland Mills.
Our City and all of its residents, I am sure, offer up their prayers for the four that have been taken to Edmonton and Vancouver. We also offer up our prayers to the families who lost a loved one.
To say this is not a blow to Prince George and district would be an understatement.
Greg Stewart, President of The Sinclair Group is devastated. This is a family owned business with its roots in this community, the workers are also friends .This family has been a part of Prince George history and we all feel for their grief.
Our thanks to the Prince George Fire Department who were able to help workers away from the explosion and fire. The Police also did a commendable job under some very difficult conditions.
We in this city are blessed today and with four of our fellow residents in hospital in serious condition we can only offer up our prayers and thoughts for them and their families.
It is a time of grief in Prince George

Thoughts and prayers to the families and friends hit by this tragedy…

LOTL, tragedy? You bet. Miracle? Hell yes.
The explosion happened during a work break.
Had those workers been out on the floor the
situation would have been horrific to say the least.
Condolences to the family & friends of the worker who lost her/his life. Speedy &
full recovery to the injured.
