Full Agenda for City Council

Prince George, B.C.- It will be a full night for Prince George City Council .
The agenda for their regular meeting, set to start at 6 tonight, will deal with what to do, now that the Alternative Approval Process produced nearly twice as many signed petitions as need to stop City hall from borrowing money for the Rive Road Dike. Council could opt to hold a referendum on the subject to see if a full vote would produce a different result, or it could accept the message from more than 9 thousand voting members of the community who said they don’t want City Hall to borrow the cash necessary to construct the dike.
The Public hearing on the new Official Community Plan is set for this evening and Council will set the tax rate from one of four scenarios presented (see "Council Setting Tax Rate")
There will be an update on the Core Review , and a report on the Downtown Partnership work as well.
