Core Review Team in Town

Tuesday, May 15, 2012 @ 3:59 AM
Prince George, B.C.- This evening, the taxpayers in Prince George will have the first one on one opportunity with the people conducting the Core Review in the City.

The KPMG consultants will join Mayor Shari Green this evening for a public session in Council Chambers at City Hall.   The session is set to start at 7:00 and go through to 8:30.

Members of the public will be able to ask questions as well as get detailed information on the project

The team from KPMG will provide details on how the public can take part in the process.

Anyone not able to attend the session in person, can access the session on the City’s website at www.princegeorge.ca

The Core Review is expected to be complete by the end of October of this year.

Comments

Based on the number of commenters on the Frizzell story, I think they might need a bigger venue and more time.

Perhaps the CN Center, with a satellite feed from/to Vanier Hall, and the Playhouse?

Core review team in town? Staying or just dropping in from time to time?

Lock the KPMG team in a hotel room for a day and invite them to read comments made on Opinion250, those which were/are concerned with city matters like the council, the mayors, the city manager, infrastructure shortcomings, misplaced priorities and the relentless raising of our fees and taxes.

Why? Because they need to learn how to see the whole mess from the reality of those who pay for the whole bloated bureaucracy – meaning – us!

They already know our feelings about the whole mess PG.

The problem is “THEY DON’T CARE”

“Anyone not able to attend the session in person, can access the session on the City’s website at http://www.princegeorge.ca

Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to be very important because there is no live coverage as of 7:08 pm…ah, well “THEY DON’T CARE.”

So much for accessible. Now 7:40 and still no luck getting the webcast.

Who’s in charge of communications at the City? Oh right, no one.

“Who’s in charge of communications at the city”……do you mean the half million in the last budget to update such equipment or the hundreds of thousands paid to the talking heads ? (that we don’t hear from)

Just in case you don’t get my humuor that was a shot at all the AV money budgeted for and the communications manager.

I balieve they are of the same mind set as Ms Gang Green…meaning that they aren’t talking to the citizens but keep the tax money rolling in folks.

I know for a FACT that the KPMG ‘team’ was overheard at the hotel restaurant complaining about the state of the roads and how horrible they were to drive around on LOL!!! P.G….this City will be a disaster in 5 years time.
