Sprague To Return For 6th Season As Cariboo Cougars Coach
Prince George, BC – Trevor Sprague is already laying plans for the upcoming season…
BC Hockey has confirmed the veteran Major Midget coach will return for his sixth season as head coach of the Cariboo Cougars.
Sprague will look to end what has become a disappointing string of second place finishes in the BC Major Midget League Championship – three in a row now – as the Cougars have found the Vancouver North West Giants to be their nemesis.
"Our team will look very different this season," says the returning bench boss. "But we know we have a great group of returning players, along with some young talent from across the North, and some solid 17-year-olds, too."
He adds, "The names on the jerseys might look different, but the logo on the frong and all that goes with that stays the same."
The rest of the Cariboo Cougars’ staff will be announced later this spring.

“same old same old”?!? I hope so. Always a top team in the league, always a role model to the other teams in the league, highly respected by BC Hockey, and churns out a huge number of junior players year after year. Cariboo cougars are a true success story.
