Out Of Steam

Prince George, BC – Today, the Little Prince in Fort George Park was the little engine that couldn’t…
Despite big plans to mark the steam engine’s 100th anniversary with free rides for train enthusiasts big and small over the noon hour, the Little Prince was out of steam.
A staff member at The Exploration Place says the train "wasn’t holding steam" this morning, so the hopes of many ‘went off the tracks’, so to speak.
However, it’s hoped the 100-year-old will be ready to take to the rails tomorrow.

It was probably out drinking Friday night.
[begin sarcasm] I am sure it was because of the fluoride in the water [end sarcasm]
Now that is out of the way it’s too bad the little engine couldn’t. It was one of the first fun things I did when I moved to PG some 35 years ago.
Must have hit a pothole.
Quick! get some elected officials down here right away! We need Bell, Bond, and Green after all! With their hot air and our Bernzomatic torch we should be able to boil that water and work up a head of steam in no time flat.
metalman.
Tractor: love it, got a laugh.

The topic is trains. So fluoride is off the topic, but thanks for bringing it up!
“Recent research shows that fluoride may be associated with an increased risk of
heart disease as it causes hardening of your arteries.
Fluoride is a cumulative poisonâapproximately 98 percent of the fluoride you ingest in water is absorbed into your blood through your gastrointestinal tract,
from where it then enters and accumulates in your bodyâs cellular tissues, including your kidneys, teeth and bones, pineal gland, and the walls of your blood vessels.
Common health hazards of fluoride include reduced IQ, increased lead absorption,
dementia, bone fractures, dental and skeletal fluorosis, immune system disruptions, and many other health problems.
Itâs important to understand that the âfluorideâ added to your drinking water is not the natural mineral, nor a pharmaceutical grade fluoride. Instead, the fluoride compound most commonly used is the toxic waste product from phosphate
fertilizer plants.”
Didn’t we the taxpayers of this city spend a whack of our money resurecting this train a couple years ago?
