Silent Walk and Barbeque Today at Fort George Park

Prince George, B.C. – The Northern BC Children and Families Hearing Society has a big event planned today at Fort George Park with their Silent Walk and family barbeque.
May is Speech and Hearing Awareness month, and the society is celebrating with their annual fundraiser and fun family event from noon to 2pm near the water park and train at the park. The Silent Walk is a short walk around the park held in conjunction with the society’s Penny Drive during the month of May.
The annual event provides an opportunity for families with deaf or hard of hearing children to meet with the society’s board members.
