Prince George, B.C. – One person is being treated for serious injuries suffered in a head-on collision north of Quesnel this afternoon.
Constable Krista Vrolyk says at about 12:30pm a northbound passenger car crossed the centre line of Highway 97, 2 kilometres north of Hush Lake, and smashed head-on into a southbound semi-trailer unit. She says both vehicles burst into flame following impact. Both drivers were taken to G.R. Baker Hospital, where one is said to be in pretty rough shape. The other driver was checked out but suffered no injuries of consequence.
Const. Vrolyk says Highway 97 was completely shut down for three hours but has now fully re-opened.
The names and home towns of the people involved are not available.

Gus, you are critical :)
Hey Gus how about the ubiquitous “non life threatening injuries”
As for “pretty rough shape”
The use of informal language in reporting, even when quoted verbatim, in this case by the RCMP officer, reflects poorly on the media organisation. Professionalism suffers when the news is reported in an informal manner.
Strictly an opinion, 250.
