The greatest thing we must teach our kids is to accept and handle rejection…not everyone is going to like you and you can’t make someone love you. In this day of everyone gets a ribbon on sports day and I’m OK, your OK, so we’re all OK has gone to far. Not the real world. Some people are artistic, some athletic, some are brains and some are socially superior…very few exhibit it all. And some people are just crappy, dangerous and have blown away any “rights” they should be granted from society. Help young people find their niche, engage with like minded friends and the sooner they can handle themselves without losing it, the better. The world is damned competitive. Off the soapbox….
