Shots Fired At Quesnel Home
Quesnel, BC – Quesnel RCMP responded to reports of shots fired at a city residence early this morning.
Media Relations Officer, Constable Krista Vrolyk, says multiple gunshots were fired at a home in the 400-block of Hartley Street just after 4am this morning, hitting a window of the residence and piercing the exterior walls.
Constable Vrolyk says there were people inside the residence at the time, but no one was injured. She is not releasing how many were home at the time of the shooting, nor whether those individuals are known to police.
But does says, "It is important to note that this was not a random act. Police believe that this was a targeted attack." It is believed those responsible for the shooting were known to the residents.
Vrolyk says, "Violence of this magnitude is extremely rare, if not unprecedented in our community." She says investigators from the local detachment and RCMP Forensic Identification Section are working tirelessly on the case to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
Anyone in the area of Hartley Street early this morning who may have seen anything suspicious is asked to call the Quesnel Detachment immediately at 250-992-9211.

What’s going on in “Q”? Is this some kind of drug war starting up, hope the cops squash it before it gets out of hand, and do it quickly cause that’s why they’re paid the big bucks under their new contracts!!!
I would be more worried about getting (beat, tazered or shot) by the RCMP in Quesnel than some random drug dealer drive-by.
