Prince George, BC – It was a whirlwind of colour at the Prince George Playhouse this afternoon, as the Bollywood Dream Dancers performed as part of ongoing Vaisakhi celebrations.
A packed house was treated to traditional Hindi dances, as well as Punjabi Bhangra performed by dancers as young as five-years-old. The Hindi & Punjabi Fusion dancers (shown in photo above) were performing a piece choreographed by 13-year-old Sonia Kandola.

This afternoon’s Mela, or gathering, was a fundraiser for the Gairett MacIver Scholarship Fund – Gairett was the Prince George teen who passed away in 2007, after suffering complications following a four-organ transplant.
