Boat and Trailer Stolen, Then Ditched

Prince George, B.C.- RCMP are looking for three suspects in connection with the theft of a boat and trailer from a residence on Hofferkamp Road.
According to police, a woman was on her way to a residence on Hofferkamp Road  when she noticed a Black Chevrolet Tahoe driving in the opposite direction towards Highway 97 hauling a boat and trailer. The witness turned around and followed the boat and trailer which she knew to be stolen. As she was following the suspect vehicle, the witness called police.
 
The witness followed the Tahoe as it turned North onto Highway 97 and right onto Northwood Pulpmill Road.
 
After reaching Noranda Road East, the driver of the Tahoe stopped the vehicle and one occupant got out of the vehicle and un-hitched the boat/trailer, leaving it in the middle of the road.
 
When Police arrivedon the scene, they conducted extensive patrols in an attempt to locate the vehicle and suspects. A member of the Prince George RCMP Police Dog Section attended the scene where the boat and trailer were left in an attempt to locate the suspect. Result of that search was negative.
 
The suspect vehicle was located shortly after by RCMP members patrolling the area. The vehicle was parked and unoccupied at the intersection of Steel Road and Banzer Drive. A member of the Prince George RCMP Police Dog Section attended the scene in an attempt to locate the suspects but with negative result.
 
The Black Chevrolet Tahoe was later reported stolen by it’s registered owner.
 
Suspect #1 is described as (male who un-hitched the boat/trailer):
–       Caucasian male
–       Wearing a black hoodie over his head
–       Blue jean shorts
 
Suspect #2 is described as (driver):
–       Caucasian male
–       In his 30s
–       Dark brown / reddish hair
 
Suspect #3 is described as (front passenger):
–       Caucasian male
–       Wearing Black hoodie over his head
 
The Investigation is ongoing.
 
The boat/trailer were returned to the rightful owner.

Hey there, witness, thanks very much for stepping up to the plate and following these characters. Were it not for you, that boat probably would have disappeared for good. And you gave the police a leg up in their investigation. Sure hope someone like you is around if someone tries to steal my stuff. Well Done!

Yes, A big thankyou very much to the witness doing what was right. You are part of the real backbone of this country. Now we just have to get some politicians who have the guts to change some of our laws so that we are once again allowed to defend ourselves on our own property.
