Washout Closes 16 East

Water from Kenneth Creek was too much for the culvert to handle, so it spills over highway 16
Prince George, B.C. – Highway 16 east is closed 73 kilometers east of Prince George because of a washout at Kenneth Creek.
East bound traffic is being stopped at the Purden Resort.
While the estimated time of reopening is not yet available, DriveBC plans to issue an update at about 3:00.

Hard to believe that in August the kids can ride their boogie boards through that giant culvert! That’s a lot of water.
