Bent over at the base, this traffic light standard will have to be replaced
Prince George B.C.- It will be hours before a traffic light standard at 17th and Queensway in Prince George will be back in place.
The standard was pulled down around 3:00 this afternoon. About an hour and a half later, an officer with Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement pulled over a semi tractor trailer unit, suspected of being involved.
Damage to the light standard is estimated at $5,000.
The driver of the semi may be charged.
Until the standard can be replaced, the intersection will resort to a 4 way stop situation.

Talking of lights, I see the ones at 15th and Ospika went out again this afternoon.
Still out. I’ve started avoiding that intersection, seems like drivers in this town can’t figure out the 4-way stopping situation at small intersections let alone large ones.
Bent over on Queensway should be the headline. lol
Driving without due care and attention and leaving the scene of an accident.
The driver and their insurance should pay for the whole shootin match, not the taxpayers.
