Prince George, B.C.- Colmar Construction has been awarded the contract to build the sewer extension on Boundary Road.
Of the three bids received, Colmar’s was the lowest, at $1,633,445.00 not including taxes. That amount was still above the budgeted amount of $1.6 million so, two optional elements were removed from the project’s scope.
With the options of fiber optic ducting and pull boxes removed, Colmar came back with a revised tender of $1,548,831.00.
It is anticipated the work will take 14 weeks to complete and will start in mid July.

A lot of neighborhoods in PG having been paying municipal taxes for decades and still have no city sewer services. Hart Highlands for example. Yet a road to nowhere for a hypothetical development gets $1.6 million in new sewer infrastructure… to go with the tens of millions already spent on the project.
Its all about priorities in PG.
