Terrace, B.C.-One person is dead, having been run over by a vehicle, just east of Terrace.

 

Terrace RCMP say the incident happened in front of the Costa Lessa Motel, just east of the city, at about 1:45 this morning. Constable Angela Rabut says a Chevrolet Venture van being driven by a 46 year old man ran over a 31 year old man. 

 

The pedestrian died at the scene.

 

The investigation has revealed that conditions were dark and wet at the time of the incident and the pedestrian was lying in the middle of the road when he was struck. The driver of the van was determined to be sober.

 

The Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Service Unit is assisting the Terrace RCMP with the investigation.
