Prince George, BC – It will be a while before he gets to lace up his skates, but the Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired 19-year-old Liam Board from the Oakville Blades from the Ontario Junior Hockey League, in exchange for Patrick Chore and future considerations.

Board is a six-foot, 185-pound forward who recorded 17 goals, 18 assists, and 34 penalty minutes in his first season with the Blades.

Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes, says, Board will be a big addition to the team’s lineup next season.  "He is a solid, two-way player that can provide leadership on and off the ice."

"We have some big holes to fill this season with the departure of a number of our players to NCAA programs; Liam will go a long way in helping us fill those vacancies."

The Kings are thanking Chore for his contributions to the team last year and are wishing him well as he gets set to head off to the OJHL next season.
