Friday, June 15, 2012 @ 3:49 AM

Prince George, BC – The addition of the UNBC Timberwolves and two other teams – Mount Royal and Winnipeg – to the Canada West Soccer League has prompted some changes to the conference and its schedule for the upcoming season.

Canada West says the men’s league will shift to a new two-division format.  Both UNBC and Mount Royal University will be part of the six-team Pacific Division and will play 14 regular season games.  On the women’s side, the teams will see their number of matches decrease from 14 last year, to 12 this year.

The league has also increased the number of playoff teams in both leagues, to six in the men’s and eight in the women’s.

The regular season tips off on the weekend of September 7th to 9th.  The men T-Wolves are on the road in Victoria, while the women will start the season in Winnipeg.
