Fireworks celebrate 60 years of racing at PGARA following tonight’s main event
Prince George, BC – Rain didn’t dampen the win for Quesnel’s Dave Olson who took the checkered flag in the stock car main event that marked 60th Anniversary celebrations at PGARA Speedway tonight.
It didn’t dampen Olson’s victory, but it did delay the start of the White Spruce Enterprise 100 race until after 9pm, and renewed rainfall shortened the scheduled 100-laps to 55, due to safety concerns.
The race was the third in the six-race ARCA West OK Tire Sportsman Series. It was the season debut for Prince George driver, Bob Williams, and he came out strong with a second place finish. Series’ points leader, Mark Berriau of Penticton, finished in third.
