FRIDAY FREE FOR ALL -June 22nd, 2012

Friday, June 22, 2012 @ 12:00 AM

Summer is officially here and the Fraser  is expected to  rise again by Monday.  But today, it’s all about  flooding the page  with  your thoughts on the events of the past week.

It is time for the FRIDAY FREE FOR ALL.

You pick the topic, keeping in mind  you must obey the three simple rules:

Keep it clean

Keep it legal

No bullying of other posters.

1st… Have fun bitching about things that annoy coots.

I am a staunch anti-environmentalist. I have very little use for people who spout about global warming or air quality or that oilsands are the devils playground. Many of these so called environmentalists are for the most part are poorly informed and many use flawed, outdated and excerpts from certain publications. I spend hrs researching the net and perusing books and I am better informed than most of the so called environmentalists.

Often when I confront these people with solid hard facts often all I get is rhethoric because they are not prepared and only have their side and nothing from the other side. It is rare that I encounter someone who has facts to back up their claims and those are the ones I respect.

I do have my faults and like anyone else have faulted beliefs but when I confront an environmentalist I will shower them with solid hard facts while often they sputter and show boat because they rarely have any facts and will have one sided opinions and papers.

If your going to be an environmentalist you better damn well have the facts and the information to back up your claims because I will damn sure take you to task. I may not win but I’ll damn sure make you think.

lol that’s funny. Debates are always good… people need to think more.

Barrel of oil at $78.57. Consumers in the US are getting relief at the pumps.

Falling oil prices cut pain at pump
Middletown Journal– Area’s July 4 range could be $3.35-$3.50. 42 million Americans expected to be on roads for holiday.

A drop in oil prices has made gasoline cheaper just in time for the start of the summer road trip season.

The national average cost of a gallon was $3.47 Thursday, down 46 cents from its peak in early April. Some experts predicted it would dip to $3.30 by July 4, far from forecasts early in the year of $5 a gallon this summer.

AAA’s Independence Day Travel Forecast predicts a record 42.273 million Americans are expected to journey at least 50 miles from home Friday, June 29, through Wednesday, July 4. More than 35 million of them will travel by car.

Here in Prince George and Vancouver, compare the prices.

133.9 p/l or $6.08 per Imperial gallon or $5.06 per US Gallon But we live in B.C. which means BRING CASH You pay more on the Lower Mainland 150.9 p/l

Anyone get stopped in the RCMP “voluntary, anonymous ” alcohol and drug use survey? They ask you to blow a breathalyzer, and then provide a saliva sample for drug testing. All anonymous of course, except the RCMP can run your plates if they want. Is that even legal?

Police State. Where are you coming from and where are you going which is all none of their buisness. Last time I checked we live in a so called free country that’s why most of our relatives went to war.

Just a heads up if your planning on a trip to the ancient forest east of PG this weekend. A couple of days ago ran into a couple of grizzly’s on the trailhead and they weren’t all that excited about moving off the trail.

Dearth …. “a lack of something” … appropriate pseudonym …. ;-)

So you tell us that you have spent a few hours on doing research, …. wow!!! …. impressive ….. but you do not give a hint of exactly what you are actually referring to when you write you have “solid hard facts” ….

Bring it on ….. so far you have just shown your war paint trying to instill fear in those who might wish to engage you in argument, but you have not wielded your spear yet …….

You gonna do that or are you going to cower in the bushes? Are you just another anti-environmentalist who, unlike most animals, chits in your own nest?? ;-)

Hey, weaksauce, do you figure Dearth is a coot? … LOL

Dearth

Are you one of those people that believe that all global warming claims are based on a single Russian cherry tree? If all your reading is based on a bunch of sites with a similar view it does not give a true picture. Pick any conspiracy theory and you can find tons of “facts” to back it on the net.

Me, I prefer clean air.

With all the rain we have had, I saw a conservation officer stocking the pothole down the street with trout;) I sure hope that Python vehicle does not come around and spoil all the fun.

Coot :
medium sized water birds inhabiting wetlands and open bodies of water.
Gus, if Dearth is a coot he does not come from the Athabasca watershed.

I guess he could be a tailings pond coot.

Dearth, what is wrong with clean air to breathe and clean water to drink?
How about an environment that is livable for our great great grandchildren?
I am not an environmentalist, but one at the same time. I do not agree with most of the environmentalist groups (i.e. Green Peace, Western Canadian Wilderness Committee, and other similar militant group). Yet I want to leave a cleaner environment than the one I currently live in. I will try t do my part in living in a more environmentally friendly manner.

Clean fresh water is disappearing worldwide. This is a fact. Some areas have more fresh water than others. There are rivers that is not even safe to swim in, let alone to drink from, because they are so polluted.

Clean air in some areas is almost non-existent. Mainly around industrial areas, even in Canada (including Prince George). Do you want to live by the pulp mills or the oil refineries for the good air quality? Think not.

We need to be better stewards of the environment, because we (including the future generations) all need a place to live in.

Life is not black and white. Never has been. It is just shades of grey. Every argument can argued from both sides and you need to understand that. The arguments that the “environmentalists” use do have have some truth buried in it. It is lost in their message and their steadfast view of their position. There are other environmentalists that do have their arguments all listed out and can stand by them.

A perfect example is the Enbridge pipeline that is being proposed. Given a little time, I can come up with pros and cons of this project and the impacts in BC.

Just remember this. Anyone who cares about the environment that they live in is an environmentalist, and not radical activists.

Coot … as in old coot … ;-)

I know, I know……..:)

Dearth = troll and you guys fell for it! :)

I would just like to thank Sears for delivering their Fall and Winter catalogue on the first day of summer!

Summer weather, feel it and enjoy it………don’t know how long it’s going to last, but right now, simply lovely!!!!!!

Troll = a mythical, cave-dwelling being depicted in folklore as either a giant or a dwarf, typically having a very ugly appearance.

Yup …. you got Dearth pegged to a T, NoWay ..;-)

NoWay … if you look at some of Dearth’s posts on here, he is no troll. He is totally in character to most of his other posts.

There’s only two things for sure in life…. Dearth and Taxes.

Dearth… intimidation may win a battle but not a war

Flowermum … the prediction is for hotter than normal right across the country … and normal or less precip in BC.
http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/saisons/image_e.html?img=sfe1t_s
http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/saisons/image_e.html?img=sfe1p_s

Speaking about Taxes … Texas is gearing up to fight a proposed pipeline from Canada that will bring oil from Canada ..

A topic right up Dearth’s alley … or something else…. ;-)

I’m still not getting the point here.
“I may not win but I’ll damn sure make you think.” So you lay down your few hard facts, then lose the debate? How ofen do you do this? Wow. Just wow.
How are you at politics and religion Dearst? Actually keep it simple, just retain your hard facts for the enviroment or anti-enviroment, I guess.

Good one Pylot project.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TcVR-OR8uc

Dearst is religiously anti-environmentalist ….

Sorry for the macabre opinion …. the ONLY thing for sure in life is death …. there are a lot of places which still do not have taxes ….

indeed… BC would be one of them if you run a corporation. :-D

Dearth set the hook, and he has caught many fish.

How about those gas prices? ;-)

True …. in fact, if you play your cards right, you could get grants to operate your business ….

Go Leafs Go

Gas prices? ….. you’re trolling to get a response, are you JohnnyBelt?

I see your troll and raise you a pothole troll ….. ;-)

How about them potholes? … what are they waiting for? They should have been filled a long time ago. Now the potholes are starting to have babies …..

How about a troll with IPG as bait?

I’ll throw in the obligatory, “Keep Right Except To Pass” post… :)

From the “stuff” that is going to Council on Monday

A report from the Chamber summarizing a downtown pay parking survey:

In Summary

•Widespread but not universal opposition: Businesses who are not just downtown oppose the re-introduction of parking fees

•Abuse of the current system is widely recognized

•Strong desire to make the current system work.

•Businesses clearly want to see innovative solutions.

•Resistance to pay parking might be reduced if:
i) it generates net revenue,
ii) net revenue used for roads

•But, skepticism that proceeds would just become general revenue

Hey lets speculate on what the BC Liberals are going to change their name to.

Social Credit
Christy Credit
Social Christy

From the same Monday Agenda Source:

Currently, Administration is evaluating the following options:

1. the development of a gravel source suitable for asphalt manufacture. Our investigations will include the acquiring of land, capital budgeting requirements and zoning requirements.

2. creating a business model for operating our own portable asphalt plant that would include capital and operating costs as well as consideration of regulatory requirements.

3. Seeking a final decision from the provincial Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure on combining the respective asphalt tenders.

Join Christy Clark and the new PMEP! (Pamela Martin Employment Party)

Speaking of trolling, WTF is with those speeders/people driving too slow on the Hart?
Happy Weekend, everybody, enjoy some sun. :)

Loads of fun this am so let me rain on all this sunshine.

The City is building a sidwalk along lower Pinewood Ave after almost 40 years. If they just made it a fraction wider we could drive on it. Just an idea.
Cheers

New party name?

Taking a cue from the emphasis on Jobs … and the need to keep those who might defect or go back to the NDP …

BC Labour Party …..

Or, to take a cue from other provinces in Canada …..

British Columbia Party … or BC Party for short ….. and they could go federal too … :-)

I am not an “Environmentalist” because the science on both sides is biased. However I think we can all agree that if we want human civilization to continue on far into the future we need to get a handle on our over consumption.

If we don’t get control, one day we will be like any other plague of parasite, we will collapse and need to rebuild from square one. I cannot with good faith bestow this horrific future on generations to come.

If I willingly did not give a damn I would be a mindless parasite.

A letter sent to Council which is in their “homework” package for Monday

Posted by: Retired 02 on June 22 2012 9:19 AM “The City is building a sidwalk along lower Pinewood Ave after almost 40 years. If they just made it a fraction wider we could drive on it. Just an idea.”
They are widening the part that had already existed. Because this City is in such great shape that “they” need to be using tax dollars widening an existing sidewalk on a residential street. Kinda blows the mind.

Anyone know anything about the slide that affected the rail line below L.C. Gunn trail? I didn’t see anything in the local media about.

I think all scientific research when viewed individually is biased. It is the nature of the beast.

Researchers can spend their entire lives on trying to find something or proving something. Many are obsessed with their hypothesis.

Only a comparative few will have a major eureka momement which will be noticed by the world.

Someone beat me to it, but I’d also like to emphasize. Crude oil prices have dropped like a stone, yet we have not seen one penny in a reduction at the pumps. They have us by the short hairs and they know it.

It was shown on Global news. Not sure if it was recent or old footage. To be expected with the height of the river and the lack of protection on parts of that bank.

That’s quite a “homework” package for Monday’s Council meeting. Looks like they are in for a rough ride!

It was recent and also shown on local tv news.

might want to put a package of cheezies on everyones desk …. :-)

Odds are that at least half come to Monday’s meeting unprepared because the dog ate their homework. The other have won’t get it anyway and will ask staff to explore options.

BTW I wonder who at the city drew the little blue starfish beside Glen’s name ala Kurt Vonnegut’s artwork in Breakfast of Champions;)

“Convert to Dirt program” – hahaha
I see that Ferguson Lake road is also under this program. They have been dumping gravel and grading on top of the pavement (or whats left of it). The best part of the road is where the pavement ends and the sealcoated gravel begins.

Gus Gus Gus, chill out dude you are going to blow. I have tried to show you sources if information on climate, environment but you have preconceived biased views and it is your right to stay in that dark tunnel.

Do you know what the scientific method is? No not the money scamming political scientific method, the real one.

Middle finger what are your thoughts on the hundreds of thousands of birds and bats killed by laughable wind mills every year?

Gus I have a lot more, waiting for your counter, or will it just be in homine attacks

“BTW I wonder who at the city drew the little blue starfish beside Glen’s name ala Kurt Vonnegut’s artwork in Breakfast of Champions;)”

Too funny…

DDT…..really? How about a link to the health benefits of Agent Orange.

Seamutt …. total waste of time …. economics … climate change …. politics … religion … in my opinion all provide endless philosophic discussions.

In case you have not discovered it yet, I love debate. Give me a side, and I will research and debate it.

This, however is not a forum to have serious debate in and you are not an individual that has the capacity to seriously debate.

If you were a real debater, you would be able to take either side, do the research and actually understand it enough to progress to the next level on your feet as it comes at you.

You have never shown me that you have that ability. Thus, it is not “fun” for me, it is not challenging for me, and it has by now become a total waste of time.

If you want to reingage, just put some key words into the site search engine and re-read past posts.

But hey, notwhithstanding all the above comments, I’ll throw this one at you:

http://truth-out.org/news/item/9445-who-is-behind-the-conspiracy-against-climate-change-science
from that link come the following words:
——————————————–
“The science only gets better with time, and climate change is now virtually undisputed – by the people who are doing the science, at any rate.

That it remains a “controversial issue” long after the results are in is thanks to a well-funded cabal of free-market think tanks, corporations and business groups that hope to win in the political arena a fight that they have long since lost in the halls of science.

They are abetted by a media whose relish for conflict and a scientifically nonsensical sense of supposed “balance” has led them to give the deniers equal airtime.”
—————————
One of the most effective, if shadowy, figures in the denialist camp is the George C. Marshall Institute, which was set up by a group of cold-warrior scientists in 1984 to lobby against scientific criticism of Ronald Reagan’s missile defense system popularly known as Star Wars.

Since then, the Marshall Institute has turned its attention toward other assaults on mainstream science on issues ranging from acid rain, the chemical threat to the ozone layer, the effects of secondhand tobacco smoke and, most recently, global warming.

In each case, the Institute’s goal, according to professor Naomi Oreskes of the University of California, San Diego, was to cast enough doubt on the prevailing science to delay needed legislation and government regulation for years and even decades.

I’m surprised to see that Kueng Rd is still in disrepair. I thought Forests for the World was supposed to be one of the attractions for the city? I went up there a couple of weeks ago and was glad I had a truck! Wouldn’t take too long to run a grader up there.

Unless of course the plan is to keep the tourists away from all the dog crap?

Hey, the City can’t be in all places at the same time. Besides, everyone who is anyone is involved with the Core Services Review ….. of course no one knows how many hours are involved with that and who all is involved because Council, in its so-called wisdom, felt that would be too much for people to bear, to actually record time against a project ….. totally unheard of.

BTW, it is June 22 and have not heard a thing about how KPMG guys are doing.

http://www.princegeorge.ca/cityhall/mayorcouncil/csr/pages/default.aspx

1 Attend Public Meeting May 15, 2012 (I did that … tickmark)

2. Provide Input on Service Profiles (to be posted on this webpage) June 2012 (can’t do that till we get some Service Profile info …. so no ticks yet … pen in hand)

First phase = 1 to 3 weeks
Second phase = 4 to 5 weeks

So 5 weeks is quickest planned and 8 weeks is maximum planned … so we are now at the quickest ….. we may end up being at the maximum which would put it into mid July for input on service profiles.

They should have had the first milestone report …. I wonder whether that is a closed meeting in the square underground lair or whether one can one get some idea of how that went?

After WWII, Stalin had returned all German POW’s, including those convicted of war crimes within 11 years. It has been 10 years since 15 year old Omar Khadr was captured by the US army in Afghanistan. Does Vic Toews compare unfavorably to Stalin as far as Christian compassion is concerned?

Did you notice that TD is no longer offering free services for those 60+? Now it’s just a 25% discount. I guess they don’t want to lose all that fee money profit as the Boomers age.

btw…. gas is $1.38 here in Port Moody. (sorry couldn’t resist adding that to the pile for today!) :-)

While no one can fault Albertans for trying to get the best price possible for their oil, British Columbians should wake up and take notice about the price we are selling our natural gas for. Northern Gateway hopes to get approximately 20% more for Alberta oil by selling it to China. A good portion of that oil is produced using BC natural gas, which is being sold currently at $2.50 mmbtu, whereas the asian price is currently $15.00 . How did we become Albertas’ bitch, selling them our natural gas at bargain rates and allowing their pipelines to befoul our environment with no benefit to us?

Seamutt posts;
“Middle Finger what are your thoughts on the hundreds of thousands of birds and bats killed by laughable windmills every year ?”

I hadn’t given it much thought. How many of the birds were coots ? Do you have some stats ?

How many moose were killed by trains in BC last year ?

How many birds were killed by aircraft last year ?

How many atlantic cod couldn’t reproduce because of off shore drilling rigs last year ?

How many dogs fell out of boats at sea last year ? ????

After WWII, Stalin had returned all German POW’s, including those convicted of war crimes within 11 years. It has been 10 years since 15 year old Omar Khadr was captured by the US army in Afghanistan. Does Vic Toews compare unfavorably to Stalin as far as Christian compassion is concerned?

Last I heard Vic Toews isn’t holding khadr so what has this got to do with him. Planting bombs and throwing bombs at the troops Khadr is lucky to be alive so he should just be thankful and do his time which should be forever. The last thing I want is for my government to do is spend a penny on that piece of excrement.

Actually it is Vic Toews and his office that are the problem. The Americans don’t want Khadr anymore and he was cleared to be transfered from Guantanamo to Canada months ago.

But Canada doesn’t want him either and the Gov’t is deliberately dragging their feet.

Ah, then you compare unfavourably to Stalin as well. Look yourself in the mirror, Conservatives and tell me what you see. A compassionate Christian being? I think not. By the way, the Americans are trying to return Khadr to Canada, Vic Toews has yet to make up his mind.

Omar Khadr can rot in prison.

On last Fridays Free For All I posted the following.

“Get a load of this.

Talking with friends from my neighborhood the other day, the subject of parental responsibility and child safety came up.

The reason it came up was because of a recent item delivered to everyone living on “The Crescent”.

http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n460/Pumpguy07/IMG-Copy.jpg

I’m sure everyone, (well most anyway) takes child safety very seriously. I know I do. I taught my children safety in all aspects of life throughout their growing years and it has served them well.

I didn’t allow them free reign to run all over the neighborhood doing as they pleased, (like many parents do on ‘The Crescent” and elsewhere) without adult supervision when required.

I taught them to respect others, their privacy, their right to peace and quiet and their personal property.
This virtue is sorely lacking in many so called adults living on “The Crescent”.

How does allowing your children to run free cruising the neighborhood on an unlicensed motor vehicle, trespassing on private property, driving that vehicle and bicycles down your and your neighbors driveways out into traffic, (I understand the issue has been going on for months) equate in anyway to caring for anyone’s safety, never mind your own children?

Delivering this message to your neighbors attacking them for what is truly your lack of attention and responsibility for your children’s safety and the safety of others is ludicrous!

Good on them for calling the police. I understand there has been a drive-by shooting and many grow ops around this Crescent over the past few years with many renters coming and going. Calling the police in any situation in this area seems the safest course of action to me. One never knows who will answer the door these days.

Instead of attacking your neighbors that do care about your children, why not do what you are responsible for as a parent and an adult and look after your own children?

Good job to those people that did the right thing in this case.
Boo to those that blame others for their own shortcomings.”

——————————————

Since then it has come to my attention that those responsible for the lack of supervision of their children, have been coaching their children, (little children) to harrass people in the neighborhood in regards to what went on there.

It really shows your level of maturity and IQ.
Using your children to harrass your neighbors?
You have got to be kidding me.

Grow up and get a life!

Another enlightened conservative. Canadians are getting tired of all you sour people. Say hello to Prime Minister Mulcair.

gus: “This, however is not a forum to have serious debate in and you are not an individual that has the capacity to seriously debate.

You could have saved a lot of words by simply saying “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.”

Pylot Project: “Did you notice that TD is no longer offering free services for those 60+? Now it’s just a 25% discount. I guess they don’t want to lose all that fee money profit as the Boomers age.”

There are plenty of no-fee banking options out there if you do your research. I haven’t paid bank fees for many years.

“Omar Khadr can rot in prison.”

Why, because he killed an american soldier that was killing people in the country they invaded?

Since when is it illegal to kill soldiers that are trying to kill you?

“Seamutt posts;

Have to add….

How many wild Salmon were killed from farmed Salmon virus’s

“Since when is it illegal to kill soldiers that are trying to kill you?”

It comes from those arrogant enough o feel they can walk all over anybody they like. But if they get any push back, they cry to mommy.

on another note…

“You shot him… you shot him dead!”

“Well… he was coming at me with a banana.”

Gus, from my studies I have learned that the world has gone through many warming and cooling periods. Does our life style add to the shifts, maybe. But the one thing that I dislike about the environmental movement is the governments raising taxes on our life style saying they are helping the environment. No, they have just found another way to taxes us and for some people too feel good because they think the taxes are helping.

“This, however is not a forum to have serious debate in and you are not an individual that has the capacity to seriously debate”

Our entire culture is becoming anti-intellectual, so soon enough, there will be NO forum for serious debate. I actually believe that this is part of a higher level strategy for certain people and groups.

Certain groups do not want an educated population because they feel threatened by it. They don’t like things like science or research because the findings may go against their beliefs. They would prefer to control and influence people with rhetoric and they do this by stifling independent thought and any institution that supports and develops it.

IMHO, one should be wary of any person or group who is so threatened by another, that they prefer to avoid dialogue as opposed to engaging in it. These people and groups are easy to spot if you open your eyes.

By the way; using cloth bags to carry your groceries home does not help the environment IF you then buy plastic garbage bags for your garbage cans. I see that a lot at the store.

What did we do in the old days, food scraps fed the chickens (every back yard in the city had a couple of chickens)or was put in the compost, scrap meat & bones feed the dogs. Pounds of old wool garments were sent back east to be made into wool blankets. Food was grown locally so oranges, bananas, etc. were a rare treat.

“By the way; using cloth bags to carry your groceries home does not help the environment IF you then buy plastic garbage bags for your garbage cans. I see that a lot at the store”

If you were previously using plastic bags for your groceries that you threw away, then it certainly does help the environment to use cloth bags to carry your groceries. What you use in your garbage cans has nothing to do with it.

I agree about your second paragraph. Out here in Ottawa we have a full re-cycling program with different bins for cardboard, bottles/cans/containers, compost and then regular garbage. It’s amazing how much less regular garbage we put to the curb compared to PG and this of course means far less garbage hitting the landfill to simply add to the rubbish heap. I will say though, that PG’s automated garbage collection system is far better for reducing the amount of garbage you see on collection days. You still get birds and wind blowing stuff around out here, not so much in PG. Mind you, they actually clean the city up out here so maybe that preventative type system isn’t needed, LOL :)

When i retire i will have lots of time to research and be a master debater too!!

Have a great weekend ;)

I see that BC is re-defining natural gas to now be considered be a “clean energy” source.

It’s amazing how the inherent scientific nature of an energy source can be altered by a writers keyboard. See my remark about 4 posts up as I think it may be relevant here, LOL.

Gus I have tried to show you some facts but you are so buried in your bias you are not open to or will not contemplate any information outside your bias.

Deniers that is an insulting word, I thought better of you. Do you know the history of that word. So no debate just name calling.

So just what is the earths mean temperature and which seaside home is Gore in right now?

You do know that climate has always been changing and that there is not one shred of non biased, non political scientific evidence how much man has influenced world wide climate, if any at all.

Gus if you will not read anything else I have suggested, read this at least.

http://afr.com/p/lifestyle/review/science_held_hostage_in_climate_Uamwgc7zXEsU6RbQJ5MWIJ#

I have a question, do you support world wide governance by one entity such as the UN?

About that weblink you posted, do you know anything about “fakegate”, I suggest you look it up.

I can do this all day.

Graymare.

I agree with your first point; also the questioning of whether our lifestyle adds to the shifts.

With respect to the taxes on fossil fuels, I differ.

Most of the industrialized world has higher priced fuels primarily in order to reduce the reliance on those fuels.

California, on the other hand, is not using taxes to get similar results. Instead, they are regulating the standards for vehicles. Same intent, different method. It would be interesting to try to determine which one is more effective.

The resource is finite. We may have more than we think we have, which is to be expected given new technology for better access, better processing, and improved exploration tools. That does not make the fuel any less finite.

As someone said, there are other fuels, even much safer nuclear fuels, that may have a breakthrough. One of the beneficial side effects of the Japanese Earthquake/Tsunami is that they are intensifying their research into those types of alternate fuels sources.

If we were to act like Venezuela, and provide 10 cent/litre gas at the pump and also not regulate vehicle standards, we could be out of conventional fossil fuels very quickly. I would hate to live and experience the results of that.

Seamutt ….. I have engaged you on your points often in the past. I am tired of you throwing the same thing at me. I have told you many times what my thinking is.

Once more with feeling … but the last time.

1. Climate change – yes, we have had it since the dawn of time ….

2. Global warming … yes it cyles up and down and we MAY in an up cycle at the moment.

3. Anthropogenic influence on climate change and global warming – yes, it is possible, but we do not have enough information either way.

Time to change the DVD. I have seen this video once too oftn. It is getting very boring. I am not sure why you fail to understand that.

Loads of fun this am so let me rain on all this sunshine.

……………………….

Where is “lower Pinewood Avenue”??

It is a continuation of upper Pinewood …. ;-) … it is the portion of Pinewood to the east of Ospika …..

When they first announced that, I was wondering whether they lost a screw somehwere with respect top priority setting.

Thank god for some global warming finally, going to go out and get my carbon tax worth!
TGIF!

Oh, BTW What’s up with this gouging gas prices! LOL!

Gus I see you are coming around.

Province really needs to get on the ball and put in a cross walk sign for the cross walk at Estavila Rd and highway 97 in the Hart. The road markings are gone again and its a high traffic crossing in a 70 zone with a blind corner. Its one thing to stop when the people crossing aren’t looking… but what about the people behind the person stopping? Someones going to get killed there IMO.

Last year a little girl on a bike nearly got killed there and still they don’t paint the road markings until mid summer again this year. It needs a proper cross walk sign so people know why other people are stopping.

Have I lost my sense of level or is the fancy sign hanging over Hwy 16 West near Jutland Rd crooked?

To the boys riding their bikes through the crosswalk without helmets and looking first at Hwy 16 and Domano last night.

Did you poop yourselves when I blasted my horn in your ear prior to me almost running you over?

Hope so!

“Gus I see you are coming around.”

I have been consistent in that view … just not as concise …..

The California system seems to help come up with new ideas while the BC system just takes more money. The carbon tax on high gas using vehicles would make sense in some ways if we had another way of getting around PG. I tried the bus, bike riding and walking and I can tell you this town is designed for vehicles. Plus the carbon tax on home heating fuels just proves that the government doesn’t understand winter. Plus what does the government do with the money raised through the carbon taxes.

regarding the plastic bags,I have heard that the selling of plastic bags have gone up. People use to recycle the bags they brought home for their garbage, not any more now they buy bags in boxes.

You show em Dragon! The city is a safer place tonight!

“People use to recycle the bags they brought home for their garbage, not any more now they buy bags in boxes”

Grocery bags will hold the garbage from one meal these days. Not much recycling here. I do not think people even have compactors anymore, but I supose they never served any real purpose anyway..

Hey, I think we are up to a 100 plus posts today ….. hopefully I held up my end of the bargain …. LOL
