Some City Locations Still Without Power

Saturday, June 23, 2012 @ 7:47 AM
Prince George, B.C. – An update to the B.C. Hydro power outage story.   Hydro’s Bob Gammer says some customers are still without power following the outage shortly before 7am.

Gammer says when the power was restored around 7:22, 4,000 customers came back on line.   However he says one circuit still has not been energized, leaving approximately 670 sites without power.   Crews are investigating to determine what the problem is. Gammer says it’s tough to say exactly when those customers may be back on line but estimates it could be a couple of hours.

Power was lost due to a fault at the Foothills sub-station.

it’s back on at Tim Hortons on Ferry…

Well if anyone should have a back up power supply it should be Timmys. Most Canadians can’t function without their Timmys. Road rage will be the order of the day.

It has been off and on three times this morning. I will reset all my electronic stuff once I think it has been stabilized … maybe next week?

There was a power outage in my area of town last week too, overnight, so the tell tale is the blinking digital clocks on every contraption know to the human race …..

9:40 am and still no power! 😜

At CN Center

That’s what they should do for “earth hour” mandatory participation, throw the breakers city wide!!

what a terrible smell from the pulp mills in this city. I haven’t lived here long, but this is terrible….the rotten cabbage smell. The last two days are sickening, in the bowl. I studied it and causes insomnia, and headaches and yes, cancer. Can’t the mayor in this city do something about this?

Well now…just checked the weather page and they are calling it fog….no no….this IS SMOG FROM THE PULP MILLS in this city and my throat is even sore from it….how do people stand for this here??

You should have been here in 1968 believe it or not it doesn’t smell as bad now.

Ya gotta take the good with the bad. Once that smell stops your home will be worth half of what it is now.
