Fatal Collision On Highway 16 East

Prince George, B.C. – One person is confirmed to have died in a collision east of Prince George, on Highway 16, about 30 kilometers east of P.G. and 5 kms east of the Willow River rest area.
This morning, a west bound passenger vehicle, with two occupants, collided with an east bound pick up truck which also had two occupants.
The driver of the car is confirmed to have died, all others have been taken to hospital in Prince George, their conditions not yet known.
Highway 16 is closed and will remain so for about 5 hours as a crash reconstructionist examines the scene and police complete their investigation.

The names and home towns of the injured and deceased have not been released.
