Prince George, B.C. – A special on line survey has been developed to gather your thoughts on the services provided by the City of Prince George. It’s part of the Core Review.
The survey ( available by clicking here) provides 7 service profiles.
The profiles include a description of the service, outlines whether the service is mandatory, essential, traditional, internal or discretionary and provides some performance measurement information.
Residents are invited to fill out the survey for one or all of the service profiles.
There is also a public workshop scheduled for July 25th at the Prince George Civic Centre. It will take place from 6-9 p.m. and you are required to pre-register to attend by July 18th by calling250-561-7602 or by emailing csrworkshop@city.pg.bc.ca with your name and contact information.

Who designed this bare bones survey? Absolutely terrible.
For example, under “Development”, the survey asks if funding levels should increase, decrease, or stay the same for “Economic Development” and “Real Estate” with no details about what those entail or how much the City is currently spending on those two items.
Am I to assume “Economic Development” means IPG? Am I to assume “Real Estate” is referring to the City’s vast real estate holdings in the downtown core? Who knows?
My bad, I found the links.
This is not what I would call an adequate survey. Quite to the contrary.
I read through the attached information. It is reasonably good as far as the information goes. However, it does not deal with value for money other than comparing some metrics with other communities. That leads a lot to be desired as far as I am concerned.
I will accept that this is still early in the process.
As to the questions, I really think that there is no context against which they can be asked in a meaningful fashion.
