Extra Coverage Means Ft. St James ER Is Open

Ft. St. James, B.C.- The Fort St. James Emergency Room will be open today through the end of the month due to Northern Health being able to arrange extra locum coverage, however, the hours of operation need to be noted:
The dates and times the emergency room will be open are as follows:
- July 21 8 a.m. to July 23 8 a.m.
- July 24 4 p.m. to July 25 8 a.m.
- July 25 2 p.m. to July 26 5 a.m.
- July 26 8 a.m. to July 27 8 a.m.
- July 27 7 p.m.to July 30 8 a.m.
- July 31 8 p.m. to August 1 8 a.m.
The Stuart Lake Hospital emergency room is the only department affected by these closures. The rest of the hospital will remain open and patients will not be impacted. Lab and X-ray at Stuart Lake Hospital are still operating as normal. Patients can continue to use these services.
In addition, the physician operating the Fort St. James Medical Clinic will be taking some vacation time, so the clinic will be closed on the following dates:
· August 3 to 7
Northern Health will provide an update if extra coverage for the clinic is available.
