Prince George, BC – Sun-seekers should be happy with the forecast for the long weekend…

Environment Canada is calling for nothing but sunshine today and tomorrow, with a bit of a mix on the holiday Monday, but still warm temperatures.

Today, the high will come to 28 degrees.  There is the risk of a thundershower this afternoon or this evening.  Even hotter tomorrow, when the mercury is forecast to climb to 30 degrees.

The region is just slightly cooler than the southern half of the province, where temperatures are expected to climb over the 30-degree mark throughout much of the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and into the Okanagan.

For BC Day, Environment Canada is calling for clouds with a 60-percent chance of showers in the Prince George region.  The high will hit 27.
