Ft St John, BC – Northern Health has issued a boil water advisory for the new Ft St John Hospital and Peace Villa facility after a recent water sample indicated levels of particulate above accepted levels.
The facility will be using boiled water and bottled water at both facilities until the problem is corrected.
Northern Health says they are looking for the problem with the water, and the measures will remain in effect until the problem is solved.

Is this the brand new hospital?
No filtration on incoming water?
metalman.
Yes, it is the new hospital. The old one is completely closed up now, and already looking abandoned and decrepit.
Is this an issue due to being a P3 constructed facility where the company hired to build, operate and maintain the facility is not qualified ?
A friends mother just spent her last days in that new hospital. She was transferred from a care home in Pouce Coupe that the govt sold to some oil and gas company for office space. They lost all her medical records during the transfer. Haven’t heard whether or not they’ve been found yet.
The overall report she had on this new facility was absolutely appalling!
Lack of towels, face cloths, paying for tv that didn’t work, wardrobes that the older patients couldn’t reach in to hang or get their clothing because they were to high, no nonslip on the shower floors, lack of chairs and tables, lack of air conditioning, lack of staff, entry intercom didn’t work.
A sad liberal day in the neighborhood!
Apparently if you want decent medical care the lower mainland hospitals are the place to be….isn’t there a liberal bus service to take you down there too?
Extreme lowest bidder do the plumbing?
“The lowest price is the law”
The extreme low bid is usually accepted, not always, but usually. Low, low bids are generally the result of a mistake, or are tendered by what I call a ‘corner cutter’
metalman.
…or those using foreign workers.
