Final PGX a Big Hit

Monday, August 13, 2012 @ 4:43 AM
Prince George, B.C. – A blast from the past and a look into the future. That about sums up the 100th anniversary edition of the Prince George Exhibition.

With the closing of the gates at 6 Sunday night, the PGX, as it has been known for a century, ceased to exist. Starting next year,  the annual event will be known as the B.C. Northern Exhibition. While attendance figures for the final PGX aren’t in yet, it is believed this year’s five-day fair was highly successful.

Crowds took in the many events, displays and attractions at the Ex, and the Friday night, 25-minute fireworks display has been getting rave reviews as perhaps the best fireworks show ever in the city of Prince George.

With the last PGX in the books, it’s now time to plan for the inaugural BC Northern Exhibition.

So much for building a Brand name. I wonder how many successful businesses would do something so silly? :-).

PGX is now a diet supplement, unfortunately. Love the new name. There are huge numbers of companies that have changed their name. Save On comes to mind.
