Puzzle Project to Raise Money and Celebrate a Silver Anniversary

Sunday, August 19, 2012 @ 4:55 AM

Prince George, B.C.- It’s been 25 years since  the Dental Hygiene program  started at  the College of New Caledonia, and  the  milestone is being marked with a special fundraising effort.

The College will be selling pieces of a 4’x8′ puzzle with all funds raised going towards entrance awards for students.

“We’re hoping anyone who has benefitted from our programs, whether as a successful graduate or as a patient, will help us help students reach their career and life goals,” said Randall Heidt, CNC Director of Communications and Development. “It’s a tax deductible donation and donors will have their name, company logo or name of a loved one who has passed, placed on the puzzle, which will be displayed in the dental building.”

The puzzle pieces  cost between $100 and $2,500 and the goal is to raise $25 thousand dollars.

While CNC’s dental hygiene program celebrates its 25th anniversary this year,  the dental assisting program turns 43. Both are fully accredited programs and students have maintained a 100% pass rate on their national licensing exams.

Anyone who’d like to purchase a puzzle piece can call Annette Stevens, CNC fundraising and alumni co-ordinator, 250-561-5859 or e-mail, stevensan@cnc.bc.ca.
