Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect
Monday, August 20, 2012 @ 1:36 PM
Prince George, B.C. – A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Prince George and most other regions in the interior.
Environment Canada advises an upper disturbance is advancing from the coast and will combine with a developing trough over the interior to produce thunderstorms this afternoon.
Some of these storms have the potential to become severe with wind gusts to 90 km/h, heavy downpours, large hail, and intense lightning. The thunderstorms will dissipate this evening.
