Prince George, B.C. – The Terry Fox run is set for Sunday September 16th in Prince George, and once again, the UNBC Timberwolves will be pounding the pavement along with everyone else.
Participating in the event has become a tradition for the men’s and women’s teams, partly for community participation, partly as a conditioning exercise and as a fundraiser to help find a cure for cancer.
Men’s Coach Todd Jordan says being involved in the annual fund raising event gives back to the community and helps build his team.
This year will mark the 32nd annual Terry Fox run as hundreds of people in the community walk, run and wheel to raise funds to help find a cure for cancer.
Registration is slated for 9 a.m. on the 16th at Community foundation Park at the corner of 7th and Dominion Streets. The actual 5km run is set to start at 10 a.m.

How many millions and maybe billions of dollars have been raised to “Find a Cure for Cancer”? So how is that coming anyway?
How much is spent on marketing, promoting and advertising these cancer fund raisers vs cancer cure research?
And just where does all this money go that is raised in Prince George? Do we ever get a breakdown on what the money is used for? Who benefits from it? Does anyone with cancer have any direct benefit from the money raised in PG?
