Williams Lake –Two men, aged 54, and 34 have been arrested and charged with production of a controlled substance and possession  for the purpose of trafficking .

The two were arrested following a grow op bust in the 4000 block of Duffy Road, Williams Lake last weekend.

Police say they seized 213 marihuana plants along with growing equipment, 4,000 in cash and a 2004 Dodge Caravan.

The 34 year old male was found to have an outstanding warrant from Vancouver.

The pair are both from the lower mainland and police say they believe that their only purpose for being in the Cariboo was to grow dope.

Both have appeared in court in Williams Lake.
