Once again Rustad fails to make the cut. Must get discouraging. Might even provide a reason not to run in the election…….
A list of incompetance…
Please dont let Bond touch anything else.. she has been a disaster in any ministry she has lead.
Bond is such an incompetent minister. She was fully responsible for the Vancouver riots and now she is trying to turn it into a foreign relations mess.
But the change in cabinet that has a link to Prince George is Naomi Yamamoto, the former minister of advanced education. UNBC president Dr George Iwama, a Japanese Canadian like her, should be upset now that she is no longer the advanced education minister and he lost a big opportunity.
Yamamoto faces a tough re-election in her North Vancouver constituency and if she continue to fail to address the problems in her constituency, then she will fail to be re-elected with the majority of BC unethical and corrupt government.
univ: “Bond is such an incompetent minister. She was fully responsible for the Vancouver riots “
Really? I always thought it was the rioters.
I thought it was the Canucks for losing …. or maybe the Bruins for winning.
Did you know that the BCLiberals are responsible for the tar sands being in Alberta rather than BC?
I am surprised at how few of the people I talk to know that.
The Vancouver Police successfully managed to control much bigger crowds in previous bigger events in Vancouver (remember winter Olympics?), but it could not control a much smaller crowd later. They did not import new crowd from Alberta, or did they? the incompetent Minister Bond failed to allocate enough resources to control the crowd.
The same incompetence when she was minister of adv education (remember UNBC?), when she was minister of health (remember later strike in PG hospital?), when she was minister of transportation (remember the mayors mess and skytrain?).
Gus, go talk to your boss Iwama and Bond and ask them why Yamamoto quit acting as minister of Adv education. Black tar sands or UNBC? Fuku shima Confecture or F… S…. K?
Well said Univ :)
“the incompetent Minister Bond failed to allocate enough resources to control the crowd.”
Get serious. Should she have imposed martial law? — which would have inevitably brought down the accusations of police state and the like? Give your head a shake.
I heard Shirley Bond actually owns a Canuck jersey, so she is guilty by association. :)
You guys voted Bond into office and now you are defending all her failures. Next time send someone who is not as incompetent as her.
Under liberals, BC has turned into a (B)anana Republi(C), “an unethical government” full of corruption, according to BC former solicitor general. The joke is that Bond is now the BC justice minister and attorney general.
The next BC government hopefully cleans the mess.
I also heard Shirley Bond owns a UNBC jersey and she gave it to former Adv ministers Stilwell and Yamamoto, but they both gave it back to her.
Autographed, no doubt.
Where is the illustrious Colin Hansen among all these changes.
He hasnt said he is not running (yet), and he does not show as being in the Cabinet.
He was a number (1) buddy with Gordon Campbell, and was privy to everything that was going on. He certainly was a big player in bringing in the HST. I am hoping that he will move on to greener pastures.
Pat Bell and Shirley Bond were big supporters of the HST, and hopefully they will pay the price in the next election. They were 100 percent behind Campbell, and Hansen, and Corporations, and 100 percent against most of their constituents.
If the failure to handle the riots was due to the actions of the VPD, how is Shirley Bond to blame? The VPD is governed by the Vancouver Police Board, not the Ministry.
I’d be surprised if the common ethnic background of Naomi Yamamoto and George Iwama played any significant role in the province’s relationship to UNBC. Anyone got any evidence for that?
Palopu,
does this mean you will be voting Conservative?
Who would make a good Conservative candidate in our ridings? 1 ask….
“We’re not interested in a blame game, we just want the facts,” says Public Safety Minister Shirley Bond after the Wednesday night riot in Vancouver.
The boring fact is that the minister of public safety (i.e, Bond) was responsible for ensuring safety of public.
I also noticed that Bell has now another additional portfolio of Minister of Labour which is not “No Real Change for Bell” as the title of this article suggests. So what Labour issue caused the minister of labour change 8 months before election?
Concerning the link between Iwama and Yamamoto quitting her post one can check with his secretary in UNBC or her assistant in North Van for further comments on the story.
All aboard! (the gravy train) leaving the station early September 2012 with a change in the ranks of conductors, but the same boring engineer. The moccasin telegraph reports that an entirely new train will be huffing and puffing its’ way down the tracks next May or June, but the cargo it so expensively hauls will be the same (Bull$#!* and gravy)
metalman.
We have all seen a lot of video footage on the riot. Daniel and Henrik were all over downtown smashing stuff. Of course, the previous Stanley Cup riot was Mark Messier’s fault.
I have always voted NDP and I understand they will have a majority this time. If they bring in a bill against child poverty that act alone should convert the majority of the nay sayers to be NDP suporters. If the BC NDP call a judicial inquiry into the SALE OF BC RAIL I would bet that they could be in for a second term. I wish them luck and I cousion them against taking the BC electorate for granted.
