Prince George, B.C.-  A  minor fire at the P.G. Sawmill on Landooz  Road last evening.

Prince George Fire Rescue  sent 16 firefighters from 3 halls to responded to a reported structure fire at the 7000 blk of Landooz Rd  just after 5 p.m. 

The fire was located in the attic space between the roof and ceiling of the planner at P.G Sawmill.

The initial attack crew cut an access hole in the wall and entered the void. The fire was quickly located and extinguished and the area was checked for extension, none found.

Mill crews will continue to monitor the area with a fire watch.

The cause is under investigation as there was work being done to the roof earlier in the day. The damage is estimated at under $5000. There were no injuries.
