Mr. P.G. Moves

Prince George, B.C.- For the first time in about 30 years, Mr. P.G. is no longer standing at the corner of Highways 16 and 97.
He was gently dismantled this morning, and moved to the shop where he will be refurbished and refreshed.
He won’t be returning to his former site on the Treasure Cove Casino property though, instead, he will have a new home on the P.G. Playhouse side of the highway. That area has plenty of available parking, and Tourism P.G. CEO AIden Kelly says there will be signage to let visitors know how to get to the First Avenue Visitors centre as the one at 16 and 97 is being dismantled.
While some folks would have liked to have Mr. P.G. placed on the corner with the "Welcome to Prince George" sign, Kelly says that location doesn’t have enough space to create parking and an RV pull out.
Mr. P.G. will be settling in to his new location by the end of October.

How much is Majors paying to have MrPG moved off his property?
My question is …why is property so close to a major(no pun intended) highways intersection not owned by the provincial government ? If that intersection is ever to be expanded……cha ching
Good question. Majors gets what ever he wants is probably the answer. Its the perfect spot for a tourism office so it makes one wonder….
Majors is probably getting paid to have Mr PG moved off. What Majors wants, Majors gets.
