Quesnel- One person is dead following a three vehicle crash on highway 97 north at 7.00pm. Sunday night. The accident occurred about 22 kilometres north of Quesnel.

A small south bound pickup apparently crossed the center line swiping the trailer from a tractor trailer heading in the opposite direction. The vehicle then crossed back across the center line into the path of another vehicle.

The driver of the small truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the transport and the other vehicle did not receive any serious injuries.

At present no cause or factor into the crash has been determined.

The identity of the dead person is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
