There will be interactive displays and information for people of all ages in the park, with live entertainment in the bandshell from noon until 4pm today. Musical artists performing this year include: Karyn Ellis, Cheryl Bear and Rosewood’s Diary.
New this year will be dandelion interpretation with Mary Forbes. Organizers say Forbes is an ‘interpreter extraordinaire’ and will be engaging the crowd with water wise and salmon conservation tips. She was awarded a gold medal in 2007 for best individual interpretive program.

The best way to celebrate our rivers is to make sure the Northern Gateway Pipeline DOES NOT happen!
Our rivers should be pure and pristine. Not filled with hydrofluorosilicic acid (HFSA), the poison the city puts in our water at 22-23%. We must convince the councillors to finally remove the fluoride junk from our tap water. NOW!
